Installing Dead Disc Doctor

Установка Dead Disc Doctor Follow the steps showed below to install Dead Disc Doctor on computer with MS Windows.
  1. Download setup file to your computer;
  2. Run dddplus_setup.
  3. Follow instructions in installation program.



 
How to use this program

For example, one of your favorite DVD movies is scratched and the DVD player stopping and skipping during you watch the movie. You can solve it using Dead Disc Doctor, to copy files from damaged disk on to Hard Drive or to make a copy with corrected movie or music album.

Most of the time the copying algorithm allows to read data when standard utilities or devices cannot. But even if some part of the media is completely unreadable, it will be replaced with random data. As a result, watching this way copied movie, may be you will see some video artifacts for the less then a second, which is much better the stops and skips. Quite same about audio and image files.

Lets start. For example, you want to copy movie from scratched DVD on to computer hard drive. What should you do?

Clean the disk with cotton wool fabrics, insert disk in to DVD drive, run Dead Disc Doctor application. In appeared window choose "I want to copy files from damaged media to a specific folder" line, double clicking on it , or click "Next >" button .

Recovery process separated on few steps.

Dead Disc Doctor STEP 2Step 1. Choose source drive on left part of the window clicking on it's icon. And in a main part of the window select files or folders which you want to copy.

Use Shift or Ctrl buttons to select a number of files or folders. Click "Next". Use double mouse click on folder name to enter it.

This buttons uses to return to previous folder or to go up of directories structure.

Step 2. Selecting distention drive and folder, to proceed copying selected files. Here every thing just same like in a previous window, plus you can create a new folders clicking on specified icon..

 Disk Doctor STEP 3Step 3. Copying files. This process is fully automatic and do not require attention except when coping file is already exist, not enough room on hard drive or drive is not ready.

Summary

Dead Disc Doctor Copying AlgorithmRoutine reads file by 4-16kb blocks and when hardware involves errors, the size of block decrease two times and so on until the moment when block of data will be read without any errors, or it reach minimum read size block, depending on file system, then program fills one block with random data and starts to read second one. After successfully reading data, block size increase two times again and again to reach maximum size.

Dead Disc Doctor - works excellent with Video or Audio files.
